Morgan James Publishing Provides Strategies for Coping With Dyslexia

NEW YORK–April 7, 2015–Morgan James Publishing’s (www.Morgan-James.com) new release, Dyslexic and Un-stoppable: How Dyslexia Helps Us Create the Life of Our Dreams and How You Can Do It Too by Lucie M. Curtiss and Douglas C. Curtiss, explains their own journey with dyslexia and offers tips for other families dealing with dyslexia.

Dyslexic and Un-stoppable offers a new perspective on dyslexia. Written primarily by a dyslexic, Dyslexic and Un-stoppable celebrates dyslexia and educates readers about its benefits as well as its difficulties. Lucie dispels the lie that people with dyslexia have a lower intelligence; they are often the smartest and most creative individuals around. Dyslexia literally means “trouble with reading.” People with dyslexia learn differently, but once they learn a concept, it sticks with them.

Because Lucie was not dDyslexicAndUnstoppableiagnosed with dyslexia until after she finished formal education, she learned to cope with it on her own. Now that she knows she has it, she can look back over her schooling career and see where the dyslexia made it difficult and how she learned to combat the difficulties. She recounts her growing up years in Dyslexic and Un-stoppable to encourage others who have dyslexia and to explain what it is like to those who do not have it. As a successful nurse and entrepreneur, her story proves that people with dyslexia can do anything they set their minds to.

Douglas and Lucie’s son, FéZander, also has dyslexia. Unlike Lucie, they identified him early and were able to use therapy to help him excel in all areas of his schoolwork. Readers will fall in love with this hardworking, thoughtful genius as Lucie describes how dyslexia has made him truly “unstoppable.”

In order to make it easier for readers with dyslexia to read Dyslexic and Un-stoppable, Douglas and Lucie provide bulleted chapter summaries and videos on their website to parallel with sections in the chapters. Dyslexic and Un-stoppable provides a unique glimpse into a life with dyslexia. It empowers and encourages those with dyslexia and enables parents without it to understand and help their children.

Elaine Cooper Offers A Unique Story of Healing

NEW YORK–April 7, 2015–Morgan James’s new release, Let’s All Hold Hands and Drop Dead: Three Generations One Story by Elaine Jean Cooper, analyzes the effect that genealogy has on people’s lives.

A unique and inteCooper-LetsAllHoldHands CVRresting case study, Let’s All Hold Hands and Drop Dead explores the effect of genealogy and family background on people’s lives without them realizing it. Cooper engages readers with stories of her past and helps them think about their own past and its impact on their current lives.

Cooper weaves together three narratives in Let’s All Hold Hands and Drop Dead. She shares the story of her father, a Jewish immigrant from Ukraine. After he learned English, he wrote a book about his childhood, which Cooper includes as chapters throughout the book. She analyzes how her father’s experiences in Ukraine shaped his parenting style.

As the second generation in Let’s All Hold Hands and Drop Dead, Cooper includes diary entries from her growing up years, letters to her past self from her future self, and thoughts from her brother. The contrast between the diary entries and the letters to her past self show how Cooper’s circumstances and family background influenced her actions and emotions. Looking back, Cooper can see the impact of these various situations from a psychological perspective, allowing her to experience peace and healing in her life.

Cooper teaches this perspective in the group therapy session that she leads, the third generation in Let’s All Hold Hands and Drop Dead. As the participants talk about their lives, Cooper guides them in finding the root of their problems. Sometimes they dig far back into childhood to find that some of their innate responses come from their earliest experiences.

A modern housewife and mother in suburban America, Malone lived every day following her normal routine: working, taking care of her family, and occasionally enjoying a night out with her friends. Malone was content to stay in her typical lifestyle, until one afternoon when she happened across an old Oprah episode. Inspired by the two interviewees—teenaged girls who pursued their dreams until they haMaloneppened—it was on that day that Malone’s dreams would begin to change her life forever. Beyond hugging Ellen DeGeneres and sharing birthday cake with Will Ferrell, Malone vowed to create a book. As she reflected on her life, both past experiences and the present moments, Christine’s Kilimanjaro emerged.

Malone provides the specific details and the right touch of emotion that makes readers feel like they are
experiencing each situation with her.
Christine’s Kilimanjaro is like getting coffee with your best friend and giggling and freaking out together as she fills you in on what has happened over the past few weeks or recounts a particularly poignant childhood memory. Malone is not afraid of vulnerability; she embraces it, making Christine’s Kilimanjaro an irresistible read.

Whether Christine is going to the grocery store, working at the doctor’s office, going to lunch with her daughter or reminiscing her days in New York City, each chapter of Christine’s Kilimanjaro reveals a new twist to her personality and provides a new her perspective on her life and the American lifestyle. It is a moving and poignant path of self-discovery that many will identify with and envision for themselves.

A real page-turning memoir, Christine’s Kilimanjaro draws readers in, allowing them to easily identify with Malone’s life. Whether they’re teenaged girls realizing that their moms were once (and maybe still are) “cool,” or career-driven women who often feel bogged-down by life’s details, readers will laugh and learn as they climb Christine’s mountain with her.

“Christine’s writing style has a free flow of consciousness akin to that of Dave Eggers in A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, but then again it’s really more like a collision of Erma Bombeck meets Bridget Jones Diary meets Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert, Christine’s writing style is so unique, and she is a wonderful story teller.” – Jay Conrad Levinson.

Alisa Massey Tells a Story of Hope and Healing

NEW YORK–February 10, 2015–Morgan James’s new release Anonymous No More: One Mother’s Faith-Filled Journey Through Addiction, Recovery & Redemption by Alisa Massey demonstrates that there is hope of a new life, even for those who seem impossibly stuck in an alcohol addiction.

Massey’s touching memoir begins with stories from her early childhood and how they impacted her. Raised in a broken, abusive family with many members who also struggled with alcohol addictions, it was only a matter of time before alcohol would ensnare her, too. Eventually her addiction came to a point where it took away what mattered most in her life, her children. Life seemed empty and meaningless.

Most Americans kAlisaMasseynow someone who has been deeply affected by alcohol. Their lives are often broken, and recovery seems nearly impossible. However, Massey describes that after her failing attempts at sobriety, she discovered that she was unable to put her life back together on her own; she needed something or someone who was bigger than she was.

At her lowest point, Massey encountered love in a way that she never had. God met her in her brokenness and led her out of it. She found hope and purpose for life and began to live again. Because of God’s grace, she was able to recover and start a new life with a new identity. She truly became Anonymous No More.

Readers will cry and rejoice with Massey as she leads them through her journey. Easy to relate to, readers will identify with her struggles and find hope in her triumph. Massey believes that nothing is irredeemable and that recovery is possible for everyone. Her experience may not have looked like she expected, but it was what she needed.

Anonymous No More provides an honest look at the devastation that alcoholism can bring, but it also offers a taste of the sweetness that freedom from addiction brings. Massey proves that no one is too far gone to be redeemed. There is always hope.

Brian Johnson Offers Guide to Internet Marketing

NEW YORK–February 3, 2015–Morgan James Publishing’s (www.Morgan-James.com) new release Trust Funnel: Leverage Today’s Online Currency to Grab Attention, Drive and Convert Traffic, and Live a Fabulous Wealthy Life by Brian G. Johnson unlocks the secrets of Internet marketing and helps readers find their path to success.

As the Internet keeps expanding, so do buying and selling products. An Internet marketer for over a decade, Johnson has experienced both failure and success and has developed a strategy to help him and others achieve the most sales. Trust Funnel is the entertaining and enlightening culmination of that strategy.

Three parts how-to and one part memoir, Trust Funnel describes how Johnson made it into the Internet marketing field and the techniques that got him there. Full of witty humor, Johnson amuses his readers with his tales of his failures and inspires them with his stories of success. However, not only does Trust Funnel recount Johnson’s experience, but it also offers repeatable and tested steps that readers can use to have the same success.

Following inspiration from Zig Ziglar, Johnson bases his strategy on trust, which is the main ingredient for sales. However, creating trust online is vastly different from establishing trust in person. Whether it is a simple comment or picture, or a complex algorithm, Johnson explores how people can create trust using the Internet. Two key factors that develop trust are likability and listening. Trust Funnel teaches readers how to use these factors to generate trust and consequently, sales.

From leveraging their personality, to using Facebook and creating a marketing website, Trust Funnel guides readers through every step of the complex process. Johnson explains Internet marketing is not always easy at first and can often take time before the results show. However, with determination and the right tools, he proves that the techniques do work.

Trust Funnel covers all of the bases. Johnson ends each chapter with a brief recap of the important topics and encourages his readers to take action throughout the book. Trust Funnel teaches readers everything they need to know about how the Internet works. They will never be able to look at it the same way again.

With a rise in the number of working parents, it’s no surprise that the daycare industry has been rapidly expanding. As daycare has become a greater necessity, families are now more in need of information to guide them in choosing the right daycare. How do parents know the questions to ask and the signs to look for that would indicate a quality daycare program? In their new book, Daycare Diaries, McLaughlin and Palashewski answer these questions, showing parents the best way to navigate the daycare system.

Daycare Diaries takes pDaycareDiariesarents through the doors of home daycares and childcare centers to provide a “behind the scenes” peek into a world that few ever get to see. Told through a unique collection of true daycare stories, each offering its own important lesson, parents as well as providers will begin to understand what constitutes a high quality childcare program and compare it to their own daycare services being offered or received. As daycare programs can vary, these stories will highlight not only the important benefits of a great childcare program, but shed light on the red flags and warning signs that indicate a poor childcare program as well.

With over 30 years of combined experience in the daycare field, McLaughlin and Palashewski offer a compelling and entertaining “must read” guide to childcare with Daycare Diaries.
