What We’re Looking For

When submitting work to us, please keep in mind that we will consider completed works or proposals. We are looking for works in the following genres:

NONFICTION

  • General/Business/Self-Help/How-To
  • Faith Based
  • Kids’/Children’s
  • Health

Typically, we look for works between 30,000-80,000 words (with the exception of Kids’).

FICTION

  • General/Clean
  • Faith Based
  • Kids’/Children’s

Typically, we look for at least 40,000 words and no more than 100,000 words(with the exception of Kids’).

MINI BOOKS

  • General/Business/Self-Help/How-To
  • Faith Based
  • Kids’/Children’s
  • Health
  • Fiction

Typically, we look for at least 8,000 words and no more than 15,000 words.

How to Format Your Manuscript

Our form-building process allows you to attach your first three chapters and full manuscript to your submission. Please follow these guidelines in order to make our review process go smoothly.

  • Your document should be prepared as a Microsoft Word document.
  • Please save your file as a .doc, .docx, .txt or .pdf format.
  • Please ensure your document is double-spaced with paragraphs indented (not tabbed).
  • Please use Times Roman (or similar serif font) at 12 point throughout the entire document.
  • Please put your suggested title, word count, and a watermark stating “draft version” on the title page.
  • Please number the pages (bottom-right preferred).
  • Margins should be set to 1″ on the top, bottom, and both sides.
  • Do not include any headers or footers in your document.
  • Please use the spell check and grammar check features of your word processing program before sending us your manuscript.

Please be sure you follow the above manuscript guidelines before uploading your work to our forms.

What to Include in Your Submission Forms

We gather quite a bit of information in our forms to best determine compatibility with you and your work. All the information is important to us, so please be thorough in your submission. We will take careful consideration of what you have created and who you are as a writer, as both are equally important to us. Please note, if you have any updates or edits to your submission after you send it, just return to your forms and make the changes; they will appear at our end.

Our Review Process

Our acquisitions editors are adept at seeing quality work as presented in the submissions. Be sure to wow us with your hook and synopsis and make us eager to read your manuscript. If we do not believe your book is a fit for us, we will send you an email letting you know. Each manuscript we review is read professionally with the utmost care your efforts deserve. That said, due to the enormous volume of submissions, review may take several months. If you have not heard from us within 60 days after your receipt of our confirmation email, do not be concerned. We will respond to your submission status. If your manuscript is approved, our publisher will get in contact with you to begin discussions on acquiring your manuscript for publication.

Simultaneous Submissions

We understand the need for multiple submissions to sell your work, however we need to know this up front. If you are soliciting other publishers, please mention this in the “Why I Am a Good Fit” question during your submission process. Also, please inform us immediately if your work is contracted elsewhere so that we may remove the manuscript from consideration. Multiple submissions from a single author are also acceptable, though we ask that novels be sent in a single submission, not grouped with other manuscripts.

Additional Submission Information

  • All work must be original and not have appeared elsewhere unless all rights have reverted back to the author.
  • Established authors with print works and no digital contract are welcome to submit. Please include your publishing history in the fields provided in your forms.
  • We do fully expect our authors to market their books actively, not only at the time they are being published but in the months (and years) after that and the months preceding publication. Towards this end, we work closely with our authors to educate them in book marketing should’s and shouldn’t’s.

Our form-building process will gather all the pertinent information we require, allow you to attach sample chapters, as well as your full manuscript for review.
