NEW YORK—May 15, 2018—Morgan James’s new release, My Kid is Driving Me Crazy: A Mom’s Survival Guide for Living with a Child with Mental Illness by Tamara Arnold, helps mothers reestablish peace and order in their home when dealing with the effects of their children’s mental illness. Having experienced firsthand the emotional trauma that can come with living with someone else’s mental illness, Tamara offers a place of solace and words of wisdom for mothers.

Tamara Arnold spent years in therapy trying to separate her sense of self-identity from the chaos that came with her son’s mental illness. Her son suffers from depression, anxiety, and oppositional defiance disorder (ODD) which made him a particularly difficult child. This is combined with the past trauma of dealing with her mother’s mental illness, and it often made Tamara feel weak, vulnerable, and even depressed. She eventually learned to overcome the obstacles of raising a child with mental illness and even thrived during it. Tamara became a life coach so that she could help others thrive as well, and today she shares her methods in My Kid is Driving Me Crazy.

With Tamara’s self-proven steps to restoring personal balance, My Kid is Driving Me Crazy teaches readers how to regain their sense of control of their home; how to break free from the judgement of others; and how to separate themselves from their child’s illness. She addresses hard topics such as codependency, poor parent-child relationships, and blame-placing. Tamara helps readers overcome guilt, anger, and discontentment that they may feel. She guides them towards a healthy and happy relationship with their child wherein both parties can feel satisfied and fulfilled. With its raw, honest look at the gritty reality of raising a child with mental illness, My Kid is Driving Me Crazy helps readers look forward to each day, no matter their circumstances.
